The Bagua Map

The Bagua is a traditional map divided into eight areas around a center. Each area is associated with an aspect of life, such as career, family, wealth or relationships.

Placing the map

Different schools align the Bagua either with compass directions or with the main entrance of the home. Both methods are traditional; what matters most is applying one consistently.

Using it thoughtfully

The Bagua is best used as a prompt for reflection — a way to notice which areas of a home receive care and attention, and which are neglected.

Feng Shui is presented here as a traditional cultural practice and a framework for arranging space with intention. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Read the disclaimer.
