November 2026 Feng Shui at a glance

November invites a quieter review of the home: make shared rooms easier to use, give work a clear place, and prepare bedrooms for the conditions where you live. This guide pairs the traditional monthly Flying Star chart with practical ideas you can try without buying special objects.

The monthly center changes from 9 in October to 8 in November. Southwest receives 5 and Northeast receives 2. These numbers belong to a cultural interpretive system; they are not evidence that a room will cause illness or produce financial results.

When does the November Feng Shui month begin?

This chart follows solar terms rather than November 1. The November period begins at Start of Winter (Li Dong) on November 7, 2026, at 17:52 UTC+8, and ends at Major Snow (Da Xue) on December 7 at 10:52 UTC+8. Convert these instants to your own time zone if you need the precise changeover. November 1–6, and the time before the November 7 boundary, still belong to the October chart.

How to use the directional chart

Sketch your floor plan and mark compass north before matching any room to a sector. This chart uses the traditional south-up display, so north appears at the bottom. A north-up drawing of your home is fine: follow the direction names rather than copying the positions on the screen. Do not align this monthly compass chart with the entrance as if it were a BTB Bagua.

The numbers show monthly stars, not fixed Bagua life areas. An annual chart and a building-specific assessment add other layers. A room can span more than one sector; an irregular or multi-level home needs more care than a quick grid overlay. Use this as an introduction, not a precise diagnosis of your house.

Use the Bagua Map guide to distinguish compass mapping from entrance alignment.

November directions: read the monthly and annual layers together

Center 8, East 6 and North 4

Traditional readings link 8 with material stability, 6 with responsibility, and 4 with learning. Use those themes as prompts: is the center easy to walk through, is your work surface usable, and do you have a comfortable place to read? The corresponding annual stars are Center 1, East 8 and North 6. None of these combinations requires moving your bed or desk into an awkward position.

Northwest 9 and West 1

Monthly 9 is associated with recognition and 1 with communication. However, Northwest also carries annual 2, while West carries annual 3. Calling either area universally lucky would overlook those other layers. A modest improvement to an existing sitting or work area is more useful than treating the monthly number as permission for a major renovation.

Southwest 5 and Northeast 2

These are the two monthly sectors commonly approached cautiously in Flying Star practice. Followers may prefer to postpone optional noisy changes there. That does not mean avoiding an essential room, ignoring a fault, or delaying necessary repairs. Keep access, maintenance and the real needs of the occupants first.

South 3 and Southeast 7

These monthly numbers receive more cautious traditional interpretations. South also holds annual 5; Southeast holds annual 9. Avoid turning these labels into predictions about the people using a room. For a practical review, reduce distracting clutter, keep doors usable and address shared-space disagreements directly.

Three practical home updates for November

1. Give reading and work a clear place

Start with the desk you already use. Remove items unrelated to the current task, position your lamp so the page is easy to see, and check the chair and cable routes. If a room is busy with other activities, agree on a short quiet period rather than trying to solve everything by changing direction.

Illustrative room styling: choose task lighting and an uncluttered work surface before adding symbolic objects.

2. Make shared rooms comfortable after dark

Walk through your living room at the time you actually use it. Put frequently used items within reach, keep the route between the door and seating clear, and use existing lamps to soften a harsh contrast between a bright screen and a dark room. Before hosting visitors, make space for coats and bags so they do not accumulate in the entrance.

3. Refresh the bedroom for your actual climate

Review bedding, curtains and bedside lighting. Keep the door swing and the route beside the bed clear. In cooler weather, choose layers you can adjust; in warmer regions, focus on shade and airflow. The goal is a comfortable, workable bedroom, not a monthly rearrangement that disrupts a layout you already like.

Frequently asked questions

Does November Feng Shui start on November 1?

No. This monthly Flying Star chart starts at the November 7 solar-term boundary. Use the October chart until then; the calendar dates and times above are stated in UTC+8.

What is the luckiest direction in November 2026?

There is no single direction that guarantees a favorable result for everyone. The center holds monthly 8, while North holds 4 and Northwest holds 9, but annual stars and the building’s own chart change the interpretation. A useful room arrangement matters more than chasing one number.

Should I avoid a southwest or northeast bedroom?

A monthly number alone is not a reason to abandon a usable bedroom. The cautious traditional labels for 5 and 2 do not establish that sleeping there causes harm. Keep the room comfortable and address real maintenance issues.

Do I need to buy November Feng Shui cures?

No. Begin with lighting, access, organization and the furniture you have. This guide does not prescribe a shopping list or promise results from symbolic objects.

Does the chart reverse in the Southern Hemisphere?

This guide keeps the same compass-direction labels in both hemispheres. Seasonal decorating is separate: November may call for warmth in one location and cooling in another. Follow your local climate, and do not silently swap north and south in this chart.

Can I use this chart instead of a personal Feng Shui assessment?

It is a general monthly reference. It does not include your building’s facing direction, construction history or individual room constraints. Use the beginner workbook for a structured review, and seek a more detailed assessment if the layout is complex.
